People have the chance to share their views about NHS services at drop-in sessions being run by NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB), as part of a public consultation.
The sessions have been organised for local people to feed back around proposed changes to the GP Out of Hours Service, GP practices, the Norwich Walk-In Centre and the Vulnerable Adults Health Inclusion Hub in Norwich, including what they think of the options and the impact they would have on them.
The four in-person sessions across Norfolk and Waveney are aimed at people who may not have online access to complete the consultation survey or anyone who would prefer to share their views in person.
- Monday 31 March, 2pm-4pm, Assembly Room, King’s Lynn Town Hall, PE30 5DQ.
- Tuesday 1 April, 5.30pm-7pm, The Forum, Norwich, NR2 1TF.
- Thursday 3 April, 2pm-4pm, Blyburgate Hall, Beccles, NR34 9TF.
- Friday 4 April, 10am-12 noon, The Olive Centre, Lowestoft, NR32 1QS.
They are in addition to several sessions Healthwatch Norfolk has organised, the details of which can be found on the ICB website.
Sadie Parker, Director of Primary Care for NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB, said: “I would encourage anyone who doesn’t have digital access or hasn’t already fed back via our survey to come along to one of these sessions. We want to hear what you think of the options we are considering, as well as any impact they’d have on you or anyone you care for.”
The format of these events will be informal drop-in sessions, so people can join at any point during the sessions to have conversations one-to-one, as a pair or in a small group with ICB staff. Feedback will be recorded and fed into the consultation in the same way as the feedback received via the survey.
The options include potential changes to the bases the GP Out of Hours Service operates from, additional investment in GP practices, the future of the Norwich Walk-in Centre and whether the Vulnerable Adults Service based in Norwich should move to an outreach model that supports people across Norfolk and Waveney.
More information about the services, the options we are considering and how people can share their views can be found by visiting our website.
The public consultation was launched on 3 March and closes on 27 April 2025.
Once the consultation has closed, all feedback provided will be reviewed and compiled into a report by Healthwatch Norfolk, which will be published on our website. A decision will be made by the ICB Board in June 2025.
