Non-Emergency Patient Transport services

The provider for Non-Emergency Patient Transport services is changing in Norfolk and Waveney and there’s a new number to book transport for physical and mental health appointments.

The service, which takes eligible patients to and from health appointments including renal and outpatient journeys, discharges, High Dependency Unit (HDU) transport and secure mental health transfers, has been run by EMED Group.

The contract was due to come to an end on 30 September 2024 and following a robust procurement process, HTG UK was awarded the new contract which will begin on 1 October 2024.

Changes for patients and carers to be aware of:

  • Patients who qualify for the service and require a booking from 1 October onwards will be required to use the new booking and enquiry line 03452 413 012 (available 24/7)
  • Any amendments or cancellations of bookings from 1 October onwards will need to use the new booking and enquiry line 03452 413 012 (available 24/7)
  • To be able to book and amend journeys in advance the new booking and enquiry line will be live from 16 September 2024,
  • The service largely remains the same, but vehicles and staff uniforms may look different – please do look out for them.
