The Cancer Transformation Team at Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, are working with system partners Macmillan and Norfolk Citizens Advice to support primary care where there are areas for improvement.
For those interested in gaining further insight into the Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey initiative, which aims to develop a model of non-clinical support for cancer patients, please reach out to Lindsay at nwicb.cancerprogramme@nhs.net. This initiative focuses on enhancing holistic care and creating stronger links with local communities.
Additionally, we are collaborating with Norfolk Citizens Advice to offer Holistic Cancer Care training for all primary care staff in Norfolk and Waveney. Training covers essential topics such as personalised care interventions, Talking About Cancer, and addressing inequities in cancer care. For more information regarding training being offered to primary care, please contact Emma Chambers-Ward at nwicb.cancerprogramme@nhs.net.

Below is also a leaflet with further details on this limited-time primary care training offer, which is fully flexible to meet the needs of GP surgeries. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with 9 out of 10 healthcare professionals recommending the training to their colleagues!
