Independent Non-Executive Member, Chair of the Finance Committee, and Vice-Chair of Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board
Hein is Non-Executive member and Vice-Chair of the ICB Board. Known well to the Norfolk and Waveney health and care system already, Hein was a lay member of the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Governing Body and, before that, as a lay member of the NHS South Norfolk CCG.
Hein has previously worked for Shell Plc for 28 years in a range of senior finance roles, as well as in strategy/planning, pension funds, and governance and risk management. Hein studied econometrics and is a qualified management accountant. He chairs the Finance Committee, is interim Chair of the Commissioning and Performance Committee and sits on several other committees.
Hein grew up in the Netherlands, and during his career lived in the UK, the Netherlands and USA. In 2016 he and his family moved from The Hague to Norwich, close to his wife’s family. Hein currently holds a non-executive role at Broadland Housing and is governor for the College of West Anglia.
