More than half a million COVID and flu vaccinations delivered across Norfolk and Waveney

29th January 2026

More than 545,000 COVID-19 and flu vaccinations have now been delivered across Norfolk and Waveney, new NHS figures show — helping thousands of people stay well and protected through the winter months.

Since the start of the autumn vaccination campaign, 418,000 flu vaccinations and 127,500 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered locally, marking a major milestone for the NHS across the area.

The success of the programme has been driven by strong collaboration across GP practices, community pharmacies, NHS teams and local partners, ensuring vaccinations have been accessible and convenient for eligible residents.

Vaccinations continue to be available for those who are eligible. COVID-19 vaccinations are available until 31 January, while flu vaccinations will continue until 31 March, via booked appointments and walk-in clinics across Norfolk and Waveney.

Details of local vaccination sites, walk-in clinic locations and eligibility criteria are available online.

Kate Keeling, Head of Immunisations at NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, said: “Delivering more than half a million COVID-19 and flu vaccinations across Norfolk and Waveney in just a few months is a huge achievement, and it reflects the incredible commitment of our NHS teams and partners working together across the system.

“Every vaccination given helps to protect individuals, reduce pressure on NHS services, and keep people healthier through the winter. Flu and COVID-19 can be serious illnesses, particularly for those most at risk, and vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and others.

“If you are eligible and haven’t yet had your vaccination, I would strongly encourage you to come forward. It’s not too late, and appointments and walk-in clinics are still available across Norfolk and Waveney.”
