A new support service has been set up to listen to people who have been affected by the recently published report on mortality data and processes at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).
Just B, an independent northern charity is available to help people in Norfolk and Suffolk. It is also an organisation that has no connection whatsoever with services across Norfolk and Suffolk, including NSFT.
Both NHS Norfolk and Waveney and NHS Suffolk and North East Essex fully understand how distressing and upsetting it is for many that have read the Independent Review of NSFT Mortality Data and indeed seen the media headlines since the report was published.
To provide much needed support for individuals who may be affected by this report, a new trauma and bereavement support line has been set up, commissioned by both NHS Integrated Care Boards. The service is also available to support staff across Norfolk and Suffolk who may have been affected by the report.
This new support line is available to discuss the report but it cannot answer questions or offer a view on the key findings within the report because it is independent and is primarily a listening service.
Trained, out of the area trauma and bereavement counsellors are on hand to listen and provide dedicated support.
If you feel you may benefit from a confidential, supportive and compassionate space to talk through your emotions, please dial this number 01423 856799.
A friendly and listening ear will be available from 8am to 8pm, any day of the week.
We hear you and we want to support you.
