Norfolk and Waveney Primary Care Workforce
The Norfolk & Waveney Primary Care Workforce Team focuses on training, retaining, and reforming the workforce in Dentistry, General Practice, and Optometry to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to both patients and the public. This is achieved through the provision of guidance, education, training, and development for both the current and new primary care workforce, which is essential for delivering world-class patient care throughout Norfolk and Waveney.
Our Teams responsibilities include:
- Supporting roles to stay in the workforce through retention schemes.
- Supporting PCNs with the breadth of workforce planning and embedding new roles through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).
- Education and training for the primary care workforce.
- Supporting educational placements.
- Offering career support to staff from new to practice, mid-career, and retention.
Our mission is to become a ‘one stop shop’ for continuous professional development opportunities, for the whole multi-disciplinary Primary Care workforce working across the 105 General Practices, within the 20 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in the region, 102 Dental Practices and 66 Opticians.
