Dr Frankie Swords, former Medical Director at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust has been made Medical Director of the new NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) of Norfolk and Waveney’s Integrated Care System (ICS).

Dr Swords did her medical training in Oxford, then London and had been a consultant physician, specialising in endocrinology, for over 10 years.

She has previously held various leadership positions at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, before joining Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn as Medical Director in September 2019. She also continues to practice and is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
