Following completion of a successful nomination and appointment process, NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) is pleased to announce that Cllr Fran Whymark has been appointed as the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) member on the ICB Board.
This vital role presents both challenges and rewards, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and care services available to local people across Norfolk and Waveney. As the ICP Board member, Cllr Whymark will work closely with key partners, help shape the future of integrated care, and provide leadership on workforce and culture – one of the NHS’s top priorities.
Cllr Whymark’s wealth of experience, including his recent appointment as Norfolk County Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing in January 2025, positions him well to drive improvements in health and care across the area.
Cllr Whymark said: ‘’I am pleased to join the Integrated Care Board (ICB). As a District and County Councillor I have extensive experience of partnership working and understand how important this is when delivering essential services. I have joined the ICB at a time of great upheaval. The journey may have changed but the destination remains the same. Our goal is that we continue to deliver the services people have come to rely upon from their NHS.”
We look forward to working with Cllr Whymark as we continue our commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.
