The way that children and young people are supported to deal with wellbeing or mental health problems can, and must, be made better.
This is why our Rethink Partners to help us review Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and recommend what changes we could make. It’s not just about money, it’s about how services work together and how we can help families and communities manage the everyday worries and anxieties that our young people have.
Some key findings indicate families want easier access (one ‘front door’), and they want help quicker and earlier to prevent problems getting worse.
The review found there was a strong vision for the future of mental health services for children and young people, but there is much work to do.
