James Paget University Hospital

“I’m a busy mum of 6 girls, I volunteer at the James Paget University. We answer general questions, give directions, push patients and family in wheelchairs, take notes to clinics and just help out where needed.  

“I had some spare time after a family member passed away that I had cared for, and the hospital seemed like a good place to start. 

“I think we help people who sometimes have no one else to ask and this can take pressure off staff.  

“I enjoy the help and assistance with give. I also enjoy seeing the other volunteers who I now class as friends.”
