Teams of health professionals from across Norfolk, Suffolk and north east Essex will once again be taking advice about staying well to this year’s Latitude Festival.
Festival goers will be able to speak to clinicians and staff about a range of services, available vaccinations and how they can prevent getting ill in the first place.
They will be ready to give advice about:
- Skin cancer
- Oral health
- Hepatitis C
- Stroke
- Pharmacy First
- Sexual health
- Maternity services
Revellers at the festival – which will take place between 24 and 27 July – will also be able to find out how to access the most appropriate services according to their needs.
It’s the fifth year professionals from the NHS will have a presence at the event. This year they will be on their Wellness on Wheels bus – which travels across Norfolk and Suffolk giving advice and support about health matters.
Kate Keeling, Head of Immunisations at NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board said: “We’re really looking forward to meeting people at Latitude again this year. Come and have a chat with us – whether it’s about vaccines, health advice or how to stay well while enjoying the festival. Our friendly team is here to help, and we want everyone to have a safe, healthy and brilliant time.”
Lucy Archer, who leads the vaccination programme at NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, added: “We’re delighted to be taking our messages directly to festival goers. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with local people and visitors where we will once again offer advice and support along with highlighting local services and how to access them.”
The Latitude Festival is an annual award-winning festival which features music, comedy, literature and poetry in the setting of Henham Park in north Suffolk.
